Our verdict
This tour fits a typical Mazatlán call (8:00 am–4:30 pm). It runs 6 h; ashore by 8:20 am, you can start by 8:30 am and be back at the gangway around 2:40 pm — 50 min to spare on top of a 1 h safety margin.
Rule of thumb: it keeps the safety margin as long as all aboard is 3:40 pm or later. On a short call (ship leaving by 2:00 pm) skip it or ask for the first departure.
The operator picks up at the cruise port (it is on their pickup list), so the trip to the start point is part of the tour. We allow 10 min to walk off and find the pickup; look for the ground-transportation area outside Mazatlán cruise terminal (Puerto de Mazatlán).
Among the 130 Mazatlán shore excursions we track, this is one of the longer ones (the median runs 4 h); 97% of them fit a typical call.
Computed from the tour's published duration, the distance from the cruise pier to its start point and the typical Mazatlán call. Adjust your ship's times above to recheck.

Itinerary
- 1MalpicaAt Malpica,, we will visit a brick oven bakery heated with wood and a rustic floor tile factory where we will be able to get samples from both places.
- 2ConcordiaThe next stop on this tour will be an artisans workshop and store by the highway between Malpica and Concordia, where we will find arts and crafts made on site. A few steps away from the store, you will find the workshop and the ovens where the artisans transform a bunch of clay into a beautiful piece of art.
- 3ConcordiaOne of the biggest attractions on this tour is Saint Sebastian church, located at the hearth of Concordia, a town founded in 1565 by Francisco de Ibarra. This is one of the oldest towns in the state of Sinaloa, and it is popular because of silver mining, furniture making and the traditional "Raspado", similar to shaved ice cone. You will also have the option of enjoying a Mexican lunch at El Granero restaurant, located beging Saint Sebastian Church.
- 4Stop 4In Mesillas, a small town at the foothills of the Sierra, we will have time to visit a couple artisanal furniture stores and a local bakery.
